Robotic Surgery

Robotic surgery, or robot-assisted surgery, enables doctors to perform complex procedures with superior precision, flexibility, and control compared to traditional methods. This approach is often used in minimally invasive surgery, which involves small incisions, and is occasionally applied in traditional open surgeries.

The primary clinical robotic surgical system includes a camera arm and mechanical arms with surgical instruments, all controlled by the surgeon from a computer station near the operating table. The surgeon views a magnified, high-definition 3D image of the surgical site on their console. The surgical team is coordinated by the surgeon during the procedure.
